Update to FarmBot OS v12

This morning we released two new versions of FarmBot OS: v11.1.0 and v12.0.1. Why two versions? Because over the last few weeks we’ve built out a new in-house release management system that will give us greater control and stability when it comes to over-the-air updates, as well as reduce FarmBot’s “vendor lock-in” dependence on specific 3rd party systems.

v11.1.0 is an interim release that includes both the legacy update system and the new update system. FarmBots will need to update to v11.1.0 before they can update again to v12.0.1.

v12.0.1 includes only the new update system as well as a bug fix in the MOVE command where you could not pass in a coordinate variable. Thanks @jsimmonds for the find!

Please update before November 18th

In accordance with our support policy, in 60 days (on November 18th), all versions of FarmBot OS older than v12.0.1 will no longer be supported. If you want to have your FarmBot update to v12 over-the-air, you must perform the update before November 18th.

After November 18th, over-the-air updates from v11.0.1 or older will not work, forcing you to re-flash your microSD card with the latest version.
