New FarmBot Wiki

Since publishing the FarmBot Whitepaper, I have had a wiki for the project using the wikispaces platform. This was initially chosen because it was simple to setup and simple to use because of it's WYSIWYG editor and that it is a completely hosted solution. However, I have realized that wikispaces is not the best platform for this type of project for the reasons listed below.

• It is non-standard. Wikispaces is much less commonly used whereas MediaWiki software is used by Wikipedia, the RepRap project, and many other large projects
• It is limited. The wikispaces platform is simply not as customizable and fully featured as MediaWiki
• It is expensive and not open-source. With MediaWiki you pay for the server, not the software, and it is open-source.

So today, I am pleased to announce that the FarmBot Project has a new wiki using the MediaWiki software. You can find it at a new domain: farmbot.cc/wiki/ and also at the old one: wiki.farmbot.it. Please check it out and make some contributions to our growing  project!
