FarmBot Digital Twin

The FarmBot Digital Twin project produced a 3D simulation of a real garden using photogrammetry techniques. This project was a collaboration between Maxiem and Western Sydney University with assistance from FarmBot Inc. Watch the video to see the results!

How will you use FarmBot's camera?

All FarmBot kits include a built-in waterproof camera that can be positioned anywhere in the XYZ space to take downward facing photos of your plants, soil, weeds, or anything else.

By scheduling FarmBot to take photos on a consistent schedule (and with some custom code) you can create time lapse videos of the garden growing, use the photos for phenotyping research, create 3D models with photogrammetry, and more.
