Thank You Ricardo Court
Six years ago FarmBot moved into a large open floor plan warehouse in San Luis Obispo, California. With ample room for 3-level pallet racks, dedicated outdoor space, and a mezzanine and several rooms suitable for office work, it presented itself as a fantastic facility for the business to grow into.

At its peak in 2020, this facility stored up to 700 FarmBot kits across the Genesis, Genesis XL, Express, and Express XL lines, as well as a variety of spare and upgrade parts, and all of our prototypes, tools, office equipment, shipping supplies, and more.

In the parking lot, we were able to build and film FarmBots as large as 3m wide and 18m long!

Over the years we've done the majority of our work from this building: 3D printing, programming, video production, product photography, QA, design and engineering, you name it. We also acquired more racks and equipment, inventoried more spare parts, had increasing numbers of test machines hooked up or growing plants outside, and received and shipped out thousands of FarmBots.

With friends and the community, we also hosted a couple of pretty grand Mardi Gras parties over the years ;)

And oftentimes, the warehouse was shared with others, hosting a local bike-powered bakery distribution hub, rooftop beehives, multiple art studios, Covid refugees, game nights, workouts, Burning Man projects, an engine swap, remote workers, van buildouts, and so much more.

Today, May 31st, 2025, marks our last day in this wonderful building. It has served FarmBot well, and also been a coveted asset to the wider San Luis Obispo community of entrepreneurs, DIYers, remote workers, and hobbyists that have shared the space.
Looking ahead, we've found a new warehouse that more closely matches FarmBot's current facility needs and budget. Stay tuned!
Until then, thank you, Ricardo Court.
